Il Principio - The Principle

Each of us possesses the truth, then undertakes his endless journey to know the truth. This is the essence of feeling, the light of existence. This is the path that in every step of the dream leads us from having the truth to being the truth.

Come un cattivo prestigiatore - Like a bad magician

--------

Like a bad magician I end up revealing the secrets to my most amazing tricks and break the spell.

When I was asked what I meant and if I was okay, I replied that I often live in an inner world of tales that do not have to do with my outer life, I create stories, characters and thoughts that do not necessarily reflect my state of mind, thus confirming what I wrote, seen that by explaining the origin of my thought I had broken the spell that through mystery led people to worry. Or was this the real trick?

Really - Davvero

Really, I didn't want to cut her skin, but the knife became too thin, oh the knife became so thin.

--------

Ciò che ci vuole un attimo a sapere - What takes a moment to know

--------

What takes a moment to know, takes a lifetime to understand.

Preferisco sbagliare - I'd rather make mistakes

--------

I'd rather make mistakes and feed my wisdom than avoid making mistakes and feed my pride.

Una scena in bianco e nero - A scene in black and white

I treni cominciano a muoversi in opposte direzioni, lentamente.

--------

A scene in black and white. Only they are in colour. They hold hands, leaning from the windows of two trains side by side. They look at each other in silence. The trains begin to move in opposite directions, slowly. It's an interminable moment, heartbreakingly beautiful, while their fingers are now barely able to touch.

Il mondo non appartiene all'umanità - The world doesn't belong to mankind

--------

The world doesn't belong to mankind, it's mankind that belongs to the world. Land does not depend on man, it is man that depends on it.

Ogni dolore del nostro mondo - Every pain in our world

--------

How curious we are when rather than admit the humanity of what makes us really suffer we summon every pain in our world so that we can blame it instead.

When yesterday's sky rains on today's world

--------

You're just an accessory, a bite that barely soothes my hunger, a tasteless drop that does not change my thirst. You can't even take the first step inside, but still I want to see you try, face the frenzy dance, the spiral of darkness and light, amaze me with the vastness of your world, crush me with its unexpected weight, make me feel the pain and pleasure, take me back to where I belong, feed your soul to my lust, make me shudder and tremble, make me cry and growl, make me bleed on the ashes of time, you, the ocean, me a dark river to drown in.
When yesterday's sky rains on today's world my thoughts are mixed together melting with my emotions.

--------

Here is the secret to changing things you don't like: step one, stop complaining and start smiling. Step two, focus on understanding step one.

Poesia d'autunno - Autumn poem

--------

In the evening breeze of a warm autumn that plays its melody on blood leaves which are caressed by a sun dipped in the horizon in which it slowly loses its heat, I have found a poem of death and beauty whose silence is the mystery without memories of the time before birth.

Dramma personale - Private drama

--------

Each one of us follows and cherishes his own private drama, to feel alive, to be special, to have something to tell, may it be real or invented, because it is us who make it real, who gives it the power to hurt.

Maybe somebody doesn't, for a different choice between being and being shallow, but as obvious it may seem, it's not obvious which one it is.

Amore - Love

--------

Love is not an emotion, it's not a state of mind, though it leads to many, it's neither good nor bad, for good and bad are illusions, it's neither pleasure nor pain, even if it beckons both. Love is neither selfish nor selfless, though it shows both faces. It's not the delusion in the beautiful words of the greatest fools that have ever lived, it's not the moment of silence before the most desired of kisses, though it has found home in those words and deeply dreamt in that silence. You can see its reflection in the fragments of your shattered certainties, in the shame painted memories of actions that seem so foolish, while secretly you ask yourself if that person you were was more alive than you are now, while you judge it driven by a hidden fear. Oh how beautiful is the expression on a face when you can not judge if it's pleasure or pain that you are staring at, oh how amazing is the breathtaking moment of doubt when you don't know if what you are hearing is somebody laughing or somebody crying. Love is life's brother, love is life's son, it's life's mother and father, they walk hand in hand, 'cause love is life's lover, they fight and embrace and dance with each other, they shout and they cry, and laugh each other's tears, they share the same dreams and the opposite fears. What is love, what is love, it is nothing but you, my dear.

"Ti amo", disse a bassa voce.

--------

"Please don't leave" she said. He turned around, took her hand, gently, like if he wanted to explain the gesture in the act of doing it, and looked at her, smiling like one smiles to a child whose sweet sorrow for little things inspires immense affection. "Why", she asked him with her head slightly bent, just like a little girl who softens her pout to provoke empathy, "why can beautiful things hurt so much?". His eyes widened with a hint of surprise as he sighed in the shadow of a bitter-sweet smile. "Maybe because beauty belongs to joy as much as it belongs to pain, just like each harmony finds reason to exist only because of a contrast". "Why am I sad when I know to be happy?" she replied immediately. "Maybe you're not sad and maybe you're not even happy, maybe these are just names that you use like sheets to cover something else, something so big these sheets are not enough to cover with". She smiled, lowering her embarrassed look. "I love you", she said softly. You can still find her there sometimes, on that same bench, talking with her imaginary love. Her emotions are as beautiful as yours, if not even more beautiful, but, unlike yours, they will never die.

Tutto tace dolcemente - Everything gently quiets down

--------

I have walked through millions of thoughts drowning in the confusion of refracted lights, but everything gently quiets down when you rest your head on my chest.
