Cosa chiederesti a Dio se avessi una sola domanda a disposizione? "Come stai?"

 

Non credo in un Dio senziente, credo che sia stato l'uomo a dipingere Dio a sua immagine e somiglianza. Credo in un Dio come espressione dell'unicità e della totalità dell'Essere, un Dio di cui siamo tutti frammenti, un Dio che non ha volontà umana, che non giudica, che non desidera, perché giudizio e desiderio sono umane illusioni. E non lo chiamo Dio. Eppure, se mi trovassi davanti al Dio in cui molti credono, il Dio fatto ad immagine e somiglianza dell'uomo, e mi fosse chiesto di fargli una ed una sola domanda, vorrei sapere come sta, perché a tutte le altre domande, non ho bisogno di risposte se non da me stesso.

I do not believe in a sentient God, I think it was man who painted God in his image and likeness. I believe in a God who is an expression of the uniqueness and totality of Being, a God whom we are all fragments, a God who has no human will, who does not judge, does not want, because judjment and desire are human illusions. And I do not call him God. Yet if I were in front of the God in whom many believe, a God made in the image and likeness of man, and I was invited to ask him one and only one question, I'd like know how he feels, because to all other questions I need no answers if not by myself.
